A Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitor is a vacuum tube containing an electron gun (a source of electrons) and a
fluorescent screen, with internal or external means to accelerate and deflect the electron beam, used to create images in
the form of light emitted from the fluorescent screen. When using black as a background there is significant energy
conservation because to create black no electrons are fired from the electron gun
A liquid crystal display (LCD) is a thin, flat panel monitor. It is an electronically-modulated optical device made up of
any number of pixels filled with liquid crystals and arrayed in front of a light source (backlight) or reflector to produce
images in color or monochrome. In this case the energy conservation comes when lighter colors are displayed because
the liquid crystals are not filled so that the light can pass outwards.
This site was designed to lead people towards a better search experience whether they where looking for a more
energy efficient color scheme, they where colorblind or just people which want to be able to customize the color pallete
to personal taste.

Every color on this site is based on the EMERGY-C the eco-friendly color pallete which states the most power
efficient colors based on the EnergyStar wattage ratings for different colors.
Color blindness, a color vision deficiency, is the inability to perceive differences between some of the colors that
others can distinguish. The scheme is based on colors that people with protanopia, deuteranopia, tritanopia and
complete colorblindness can distinguish.

The background color, text color and hover color can be changed with the controls on the right of the search box.
A hex value can be retrieved from the collor pallete on top or any arbitrary color in English will work. It was thoroughly
tested and works perfectly in Internet Explorer and Google Chrome
